A fancy day to everyone! Hope you
all had a fantastic weekend, considering that it was Valentine’s Day yesterday.
To start the week, I am going to kick it off with a dazzling "wish list" showcasing an outfit if I were
to attend a red carpet event in Hollywood. This is in line with Farfetch’s
competition with the theme: Rock the Red Carpet for Award Season. Perhaps you’ve
heard of Farfetch, as they are one of the biggest online stores in the
US catering to more than 400 boutiques by luxurious designers such as Monique Lhuillier, Vera Wang,
Valentino Garavani, Alexander McQueen and the like. It is an overwhelming shop, I tell
you. With a vast of designs to choose from, it is definitely a one-stop-shop
for all your creative fashion needs for almost every occasion there is! Name it,
they’ve got one in store just for you. Wait, don’t get me wrong; yes, it’s fancy and a bit pricey
but it’s worth every penny you’ll spend. On the brighter side though, there are
considerable items which are affordable, you’ve just got to be patient enough
in browsing through items one by one. Well, that’s that.
For this post, my inspiration is Kendall Jenner. I mean, who does not
know this "Hollywood goddess", right? Model,
fashion enthusiast and actress—who always gets noticed every time she walks
down that red carpet. I would describe her fashion approach as minimalist yet
seductive and undoubtedly a head turner-slash-spotlight of the crowd. And this—effortlessly
sexy and simply beautiful look—is exactly what I would wanna achieve if I got a
chance to hit that red carpet myself.
I got the collage above from a post which highlights her best dressed moments. If you are a keen observer, you’d
notice that Kendall doesn’t wear accessories that much, which is a good
technique to show her best assets—her skin, her figure and her charmingly
seductive beauty. Moreover, her choice of color is more on black, white, and
red—such classic combos. So, this led me to choose my own personal touch of my dream red carpet look— more on skin, less on accessories.
This cut-out
one shoulder dress is very classy and sexy which goes rockin’ awesome with this
laced booties. The earrings and necklace are very minimal, so as not to
overshadow the dress itself. This will also lose the tendencies of people
noticing your accessories, and direct them to your curves and skin—your asset. I
finish it off with a dark red clutch, to add a hint of color contrast and that
seductive aura to compliment my dress. This whole look is to showcase an effortless
beauty and a classic confident chic hitting the red carpet on that very
beautiful day.
